Full description

Meet your friendly guide/driver at our central meeting point in Amsterdam, where an air-conditioned minivan awaits to whisk you away to the first highlight of the day – Keukenhof. As we journey through the colourful bulb flower area around Lisse, you’ll be treated to scenic views of vibrant flower carpets in a multitude of hues, offering the perfect backdrop for picturesque stops and photo opportunities.

Arriving at Keukenhof, once a humble kitchen garden and now the world’s largest flower garden, you’ll immerse yourself in 32 hectares of breathtaking beauty. Wander along 15 kilometres of footpaths adorned with millions of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and more, creating a vibrant tapestry of colours.

After approximately 3.5 hours of floral delight, we head to the windmill village of Zaanse Schans. Marvel at traditional 18th and 19th-century architecture lining the Zaan River, with functioning windmills adding to the picturesque scene. Witness live demonstrations by skilled craftsmen, including a clog maker fashioning the iconic Dutch wooden shoes.

Take some free time to explore the village independently before venturing through the distinctive polders of the Beemster area. Experience the art of Dutch cheese-making and indulge your taste buds with a sampling at a nearby cheese farm.

Our journey concludes in the captivating seaside village of Volendam, a historic fishing haven that has charmed tourists since 1875. Stroll through the bustling harbour, admire traditional Dutch clothing, and seize the opportunity to pick up souvenirs. As you return to the city, reflect on a day filled with incredible Dutch highlights and memories to cherish.
